Hello! I am Yuxin Tao. Welcome to my portfolio website. You can find all major workpieces I have done in my academic years. You can browse this website, or you can select different modules to check the documents.
Something about me…
I was born and raised in the dynamic city of Shanghai, China. After earning my undergraduate degree in Boston, I moved to Los Angeles for graduate school, further immersing myself in different environments and ways of thinking. Living and studying in multiple cities has broadened my worldview, giving me a global perspective and a deep appreciation for diverse cultures.
As a naturally sociable person, I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their stories. Through my experiences, I have discovered the power of interpersonal communication and have been continuously exploring the strategies behind effective messaging. My passion lies in connecting with audiences and crafting compelling narratives—an essential skill in communication, branding, and public relations. I hope to work with clients across various industries, from fashion brands and medical care services to FMCG products, helping them explore their target audiences and develop social media strategies that effectively convey their brand identity to the wider public.
Beyond my professional interests, I have a deep love for theatre—Broadway is one of my greatest inspirations, and The Great Gatsby and Sunset Blvd. are among my favorite productions. I admire the creativity of immersive theatre, especially the groundbreaking work of Punchdrunk.
I have always been fascinated by Disney culture. As a child, I dreamed of selling ice cream in a Disney theme park, drawn to the magic and happiness the brand creates. Disney’s ability to build immersive experiences and emotional connections through storytelling is something I deeply admire.
I also have a passion for collecting Coca-Cola aluminum bottles, especially limited editions for holiday seasons, Olympic events, and city exclusives. These designs go beyond packaging—they represent Coca-Cola’s global identity and ability to engage consumers. The brand’s consistency and adaptability make it a storytelling powerhouse.
Both Disney and Coca-Cola have mastered the art of branding, using narratives to evoke emotions and build lasting connections. Their success in shaping consumer perception through storytelling is inspiring. As someone passionate about communication and storytelling, I hope to explore similar strategies to create meaningful brand experiences that connect with audiences around the world. Whether through storytelling, branding, or personal interactions, I am always eager to explore new ways to communicate, engage, and inspire.
