This project is an in-class video practice assignment in which simulated a crisis communication scenario for the fictional brand Taco Shell. The exercise focused on addressing an E. coli contamination crisis from the perspective of the company’s CEO.
The team collaborated in defined roles to mirror a real communication production environment: Rebecca Peng performed as the CEO delivering the official crisis response; Nina Zhu supported the recording process by operating the teleprompter; and Yuxin Tao served as the director, overseeing pacing, clarity, framing, and overall delivery.
Disclaimer: This video is purely an academic exercise for Multimedia Content Creation for Brand Storytelling II (PR525) through the University of Southern California’s Public Relations and Advertising Master’s program. Taco Shell is a fictional brand, and no real E. coli crisis or actual incident occurred. This assignment is for learning purposes only and does not depict any real-world events.
